Well, lets start with the first time I had thought of writing a blog. I had started working in a start-up as a AEM developer(web developer basically but AEM sounds cool), and our boss who will probably be the coolest guy, I have ever worked under( and probably ever will) encouraged us to start a blog to just write about the new things we learn. Just so that we learn it well so as to write about it well. And here I am writing about it 4 years later. Much much away from the developer phase and just still figuring out what to do in life
I guess l should jot down everything I remember about him. I still remember the interview day, we had a detailed talk before the interview and then a heavy burger and shake. I went into the interview feeling very dizzy and yeah I am sure I wasn’t at my best. Anyways the outcome of the interview was that he didn’t want to give up on any of us so we would have training for 2 months and then we will decide. At the end of the 2 months, another deal was made to recruit all for a lesser salary! Everyone was happy ! I was anyways
Lets talk about the guy, let’s call him idk I have always called him by his name. He was against the policy of calling sir and so we had that culture. He was short but had a gym body and always held his head high and was smart. Lets call him Supi. I had the policy of no names for the blog but I am gonna say only good things about him so
There is another thing I am doing now for which he was the inspiration, i.e. developing a fit body. He used to say that we devote major part of our lives sitting and working, so we need to devote time to exercise and relax. He has shown burpees in office. I am going to gym for past 2 days and I intend to make that a habit.
And he was passionate about chess, there was a chess board in the office and all 6 of us learnt and started playing chess. None of us ever managed to beat him though. And the conversations, he could talk about anything. I remember once we had a hour long conversation in the washroom of a bar. Yeah we had parties and we partied in office too. Life was really good but it wasn’t will talk about it later.
Back to the topic, he was a nice boss and genuine human being. He has dropped me home after partying. He has a Harley Davidson Fatman, cool isn’t it.
Once the topic was about relationships and us being single. He was like girls also have the feelings and they will be attracted to well built man who carries himself confidently. He believed girls are equal to boys and only thing holding them back would be the restrictions placed on them.
We were his first set of students and he was trying to teach us to code the best way. Less, clean and efficient way. He was a hands-on developer and coding was his passion. If we are following our passion we will be successful!!
