Thats what my best friend aka sister told me after 3 hours of talking to make them understand that we are going out of touch. I think I am having the same talk every year for past 4 years. I think this will be it
So yeah I was pretty close with my friends in college and we(I) believed we would be connected for life. What was happening is that people were just you know prioritising themselves and the new friends. And they be like there is no time, we are struggling, so and so. So basically people are being friends or spending time when it is convenient for them irrespective of what the other person is feeling.
People are just not taking the effort anymore. So when a person takes the effort and the other person takes none, it really hurts and the other person stops taking effort. We are best friends and if both are okay with keeping minimal contact then it’s okay.
It’s not about the talks or anything. It’s about having someone to call when you are so clueless on what to do. Then we need people who respond at the latest. We need people who are there when we are not okay and people who ask how we are only when they are okay.
Best friends will always be connected no matter what, the degree might vary based on the stages of life or situations. But staying connected is a non-negotiable.
Anyways after being very vulnerable and being on the verge of crying. My fav human responded that she is feeling a bit guilty and that she will stay in touch and not disappoint me.
Like she needs me now in her life more than she thinks or more than I need her. Why doesn’t she realise that. May be she doesn’t. But I am pretty sure that she wouldn’t ever have a friend like me.
Anyways I’ll be there for her if we talk or not. I’ll try to stay more in touch. Like I will stay in touch with all my friends and at the same time take care of any career.
I am gonna rock the show. It’s just one life. Love like there is no tomorrow. Live like there is no tomorrow. Do all the crazy shit. Make people so damn jealous!
PS: I need more cool friends but much more reliable
